INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

1- The assessment of the student will be done under three areas i.e. Scholastic area, Co-Scholastic area and Discipline.

 

A. Scholastic Area:  The whole syllabus is divided into four terms i.e. Term 1, Term 2, Term 3 & Final exams. The syllabus of Term 1, 2 & 3 will be cumulative in nature, however whole syllabus will be covered in final exams. 

 

The assessment procedure for Progress Report will be as under- 

 

Subject Enrichment Activity 5 marks 

 

Notebook Submission 5 marks

 

Average of best 2 out of Term 1, 2 & 3        10 marks 

 

Final Exams         80 marks

 

Total        100 marks

 

B. Co-Scholastic Area: Co-Scholastic Assessment will be carried out under 3 areas i.e., Work Education or Pre-Vocational Education, Art Education and Health & Physical Education (Sports/Material Arts/Yoga/NCC etc)

 C. Discipline:  Discipline will be assessed by considering attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values. 

 Grading System: 

1. The grade in scholastic area will be awarded as per 9 point scale of grading- 

  A1 - 91- 100

  A2 - 81- 90

  B1 - 71- 80

  B2 - 61- 70

  C1 - 51- 60

  C2 - 41- 50

  D - 33- 40

  E1 - 21- 32

  E2 - 00- 20

 However, the grade in co-scholastic and discipline will be awarded as per 5 point scale of grading, i.e., A- 5 B- 4 C- 3 D- 2 E- 1

 

2- Absence from any assessment involves a total loss of marks/grades and excludes the pupil from being in order of merit or rank in the examination. 

 

3- Examinations shall not be preponed or postponed for an individual student. A student absent from any examination for any reason will not be examined except in case of Final exams but pre intimation and Principal’s permission is required. So it is compulsory for all the students to attend Final exam papers. 

 

4- Teachers will not help the students in explaining/clarifying the question in any manner during any examination. 

 

5- Candidates will be disqualified if they are detected using unfair means in the examination. 

 

6- On examination days, examinees will not be permitted to leave the examination hall, untill the paper is submitted to their invigilator. 

 

7- Any student who is found tampering with marks in the report card and other school certificates will be asked to leave the school. 

 

8- A child should have minimum of 75% of attendance in order to sit for Final Exams. It is mandatory as per CBSE bye-laws.

 

9- If any paper of any exam is cancelled due to any unavoidable reason, the same will be postponed later and new dates of affected exam will be told to the students. However, the prefixed scheme of exam will remain the same.
